Accessibility.

We want everyone to be able to use this site and visit our shop.

Lazy Mike's Delicatessen is committed to making our website accessible to as many people as possible, and we aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.

What we've done

  • Semantic HTML with a "skip to content" link and a logical heading order.
  • Real, separate pages with descriptive titles, so navigation and your browser's back/forward work as expected.
  • Visible keyboard focus indicators; the navigation, menu, and forms are fully keyboard-operable.
  • Form fields have associated labels, and form errors are announced to screen readers.
  • Text and controls meet WCAG AA contrast (at least 4.5:1) — we use dark text on our bright brand colors for legibility.
  • We honor "reduced motion": the rotating banner and smooth scrolling stop if your system requests it.
  • Descriptive alt text on images, and titles on embedded content (map, tap list).
One known limitation: our live ice-cream tap list is an embedded third-party widget (Pourwall) whose internal accessibility we don't control. The same flavor information is available as plain text on the page and by calling us. Accessibility is ongoing — we fix issues as we find them.
